Sex Magick: How to Harness the BANG Out of Your Groove Thang

For Bella Donna Members only. You’ve heard of it. You’ve thought of looking into it. Sex magick. It seems everyone is doing it these days. Well, maybe not the magic part but definitely the sex. Did you know there’s ways to harness that potent energy for magical purposes? Sex can be used to propel your intentions into the Universe, as well as to manifest your dreams. In this article for Bella Donna Members only, we get down in the nitty gritty and talk all the things sex magick. Warning: adult content. What is Sex Magick? The Bare Bones (wink) Sex magick is a form of magick that relies on the energy generated during sex or masturbation to fuel a spell or magical intentions. Our bodies are sacred. They are powerful in so many ways, and sex is just one of the many ways we can use our bodies to make magick. Having healthy, regular sex is beneficial to body, mind and soul in many ways. For the body, sex lowers blood pressure, boosts our immune systems, helps us sleep better and reduces our risk for heart disease (Ohsu.edu). In the spiritual sense, sex aids in opening and realigning our lower chakras including the sacral and root. And when these chakras are in alignment, we feel grounded and rooted in Mother Earth. We allow our creative juices to flow easier too (juice pun intended). As for our emotional health, being intimate with a partner physically and emotionally allows us to trust and confide in that person. We join our bodies, minds and souls. Before Making Sex Magick With a Partner There’s two preliminary things to consider with sex magick: is your partner willing to aid in your magical endeavors? Or will you make magick without your partner knowing? In this regard, some folks say we’re getting into moral issues. I say if your partner is going to have sex with you anyway and is having a good time, why do they have to know you’re harnessing your orgasm as a means to manifest? HOWEVER, if your partner is down to get down and manifest your intentions along with you, even better. Tip: hang onto that person! How to Make Sex Magick With a Partner Okay let’s talk about sex baby. How do you use sex to manifest your intentions? There’s a few different ways, but here’s my recommendation: Choose the right timing to align with your intentions (i.e. the waxing moon to grow your bank account, grow your love for one another. Or choose one of the fertility sabbats like Beltane for an extra bang for your f*ck.) Cleanse yourself and your space (if you can) beforehand. This means a cleansing ritual bath or shower and also smoke-cleansing or clearing the space in which you’ll do the naughty. Set the mood with music, aromatherapy or incense, or whatever gets you and your partner in the mood (obviously some people aren’t into gushy stuff like romantic music. If you prefer whips and chains, I’m not here to judge. Go for it.) Before you and your partner begin, visualize your intentions manifesting. Whatever it is that you want to happen in your life, see it in your mind’s eye. See it as if it’s already happened. Hold that image for as long as you can. It’s best to do this before having sex, because you’ll want to focus on your partner at that point. If you enjoy lingerie, match the color of your teddy or thigh highs with your magical intentions. For example, green or gold for money. Red to ignite passion. Next, let the night or moment unfold as it will. Focus on pleasing your partner and in turn being pleased. Revel in the moment. Don’t worry so much about your magick. You don’t want to focus so much on your spell that you forget your partner. The magick is in the energy and intimacy generated between the two of you. Also you might not reach climax if you’re constantly focusing on your magical intentions. The big moment here, and when you’ll push your intentions into the universe, is when you reach climax. Envision your intention like a wave or a ray of light moving down from your crown to your root chakra. Then when you reach climax, release it into the universe at the same time. Sex Magick With Yourself Obviously sex with yourself will be a little different than sex with a partner. All the power lies in your hands (get it?) or toys. The choice is yours. But the key is to have an intense orgasm, and if you can hold off for awhile, even better. Choose the right timing to align with your intentions (i.e. the waxing moon to grow your bank account, bring new love, etc.). Or choose one of the fertility sabbats like Beltane for an extra bang for your f*ck.) Cleanse yourself and your space (if you can) beforehand (optional) and any toys you might choose to use. This means a cleansing ritual bath or shower and also smoke-cleansing or clearing the space in which you’ll pleasure yourself. Next, turn on music or whatever gets you in the mood. While you’re setting up your space, visualize your intention manifesting. Or already have manifested. Hold this image as long as you can. You can say it out loud or even chant it too. While you masturbate, envision the power in your body melting/merging with the power of your heart and mind. See it or feel it as a divine, brilliant bright liquid building up inside of you. Once you feel the intensity of this, visualize your intentions again. Then as you climax, release your intention and your vision and power at the same time as your body releases. Pathworking: Meeting Your Ancestor Meditation for Members Only

You’re struggling to connect with your ancestors. Have you tried pathworking to meet and talk to them? Pathworking is a clever, fancy name for guided meditation. Here I give you one of my ancestor guided meditations. You’ll just need to have someone read it to you, or record it to play for yourself. Pathworking is a great way to practice your meditation skills PLUS reach out to your ancestors on a more personal, experiential level. For Bella Donna Members Only. A Guided Underworld Meditation: Conversation With An Ancestor 1. Start by finding a quiet place where you’ll be alone and undisturbed. 2. Close your eyes and slow your breathing. 3. Focus on the air moving in and out of your lungs. One breath at a time. (pause for 15-20 seconds) 4. Continue to breathe in this way until you’re fully relaxed. From head to toe. (pause for 15-30 seconds) 5. With your eyes still closed, you’ll begin to see a tree in the distance. Walk towards the tree. As you get closer and closer, you notice the tree is very large. It’s great limbs stretch into the heavens, and it’s roots jut out all around it and then penetrate into the earth. The trunk of the tree is glowing. 6. Slowly walk towards it. Don’t be afraid of it. (pause 15 seconds) 7. The light from the trunk grows brighter and brighter until it envelopes you completely. 8. You feel yourself being gently pulled down into the tree by the light. This feeling is comforting and warm. You give in to where the tree’s light wants to take you. 9. Down. Down. Gliding down the roots of the tree and through the earth your soul travels. 10. The earth breaks apart and you’re now standing in an open cave. Someone also enveloped in a bright, white light is walking towards you. You smile when you realize, it is one of your ancestors. 11. Your ancestor approaches you slowly and when his or her face comes into view, you notice he or she is smiling. His/her eyes are bright and full of love for you. (pause 15 seconds) 12. Speak with your ancestor for a few minutes or as long as it takes. Ask them their name and what message they have for you. What guidance they have for your life. Ask your ancestor to agree on a particular sign they will send you when you ask for one, sort of like a secret handshake. Also ask them how best you may honor them in your spiritual practice. (pause 2-5 minutes) 12. When the conversation is over, thank them and turn to go back up the tree’s roots. 13. The divine light from the tree pulls you up, up, up and back to middle earth. Your feet are planted firmly on the ground and you turn to leave the glowing tree behind you. (pause 15 seconds) 14. Walk home and back into your consciousness slowly (pause 2+ minutes) 15. When you’re ready, open your eyes and ground yourself in reality. 16. Eat a piece of bread and drink some water. Then record your experience.

FREE Divination Tool Tutorial: Casting Pignuts for Members Only

I know what you’re thinking…casting nuts? Get a good chuckle out of it, then let’s learn how to use nature’s FREE tools to divine a message from the gods. This form of divination is inspired by a method in The Goodly Spellbook by Lady Passion and Diuvei. But I’ve changed a few things to make it my own. Feel free to do the same! Divination should be personal and feel natural to you and your practice. For members only. Casting Nuts in 4 Directions Divination What did shamans and witches do back in the day when Tarot cards and pendulums weren’t mass produced? They used what they had in their own garden or forest. So for this divination session, you’re going to go outside and find all of your tools there. For free. What You’ll Need: 3 wild nuts, halved (as shown) A patch of soil/dirt A stick/branch (optional) OR chalk/salt What to Do: Relax and get in an open state of mind. Draw a symbol of your choice in the soil using either a branch or alternatively you can draw a symbol on sidewalk/pavement with chalk or salt, etc. In the photo above, I chose to draw a cross to separate/point to the 4 cardinal directions (North, East, South, West). Then cast the nuts onto your symbol or grid. Depending on where the nuts fall and if they are face-up or face-down will determine your answer/message. For example, if they all fall face-up (insides up) towards the North, you might read this as you have a need to focus on prosperity, growth, and/or family matters. If they fall mostly face-up, one in the East and one in the West, you may read this as communication is needed between you and your partner soon. Look up the four cardinal directions and what they represent, if you’re unsure but here’s a quick guide: North: family, growth, money, prosperity, etc.East: communication, inspirationSouth: Passion, anger, driveWest: emotions, intuition, dreams Nuts inside up (face up): favorableNuts outside up: unfavorable/setbacks It may take some time for you to get used to this type of natural divination reading. Autumn Harvest Blessings Spell: Door Wash Recipe (Members Only)

We all need blessings in our lives, right? Autumn is the perfect time to harvest prosperity and joy within the home. An easy and effective spell consists of making an herbal infusion with Autumn aromas and then washing down your front door. Here we provide our Members with our favorite Autumn Harvest Front Door Wash recipe and spell. What You’ll Need: Pot (medium to large size) Water (16+ oz): if you have sun or moon charged water, even better! Cloves (1 tbsp): cloves are great for protection and purification Nutmeg (1 tbsp): for prosperity and good luck Apple slices (3): to connect to the Harvest season and invoke the Goddess Cinnamon stick (1 stick OR 1 tbsp powdered): to amplify the effects of the spell Star anise pod (1): banishes evil Washcloth / rag How to Make Autumn Harvest Front Door Wash: Put your water in the pot and set it on the stove on medium heat. Add all herbal ingredients. Let the water come to barely a boil then turn it down to simmer. Let it simmer for at least 15 minutes on low. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Pour into a cool bowl. How to Cast the Autumn Harvest Blessings Spell After your front door wash has cooled, put it in a bowl or container. Take the door wash and your rag to the front door. Depending on how dirty your front door is, you might consider wiping it down with windex or some other cleaner prior to this spell. You don’t want a lot of dirt getting into your front door wash. Dip the rag into the front door wash and ring it out. Begin on the interior of your front door and wash from the bottom of the door up to the top (wetting and ringing out your rag as you go along). As you do this, welcome Autumn blessings into your home by saying or singing, “Autumn Harvest gods, fill this home with love, joy and prosperity. We thank thee. So mote it be.” You should also visualize blessings entering your home through the front door in whatever way comes naturally. You can see it as a bright orange or yellow light pouring in. Or see it in its physical form – money in your bank accounts, smiling faces, etc. Once you’re done with the interior of the front door, go outside and wash the front door down in the same manner as the interior. When you’re finished, pour the front door wash outside by your front door (on the ground). And thank your gods/ancestors/guides/Universe.

Dress yourself in all green clothing from head to toe. Cleanse your chosen talisman (a moonstone necklace is PERFECT for this ritual but any talisman will work!). Go outside and lay down in the grass or greenery. Gaze up at the Moon. Slow your breathing. Let the world around you fade away. Feel the ground pulsing beneath you and the Moon’s light shining down on you. At this point, you are ONE with the earth and the moon’s light is GROWING your powers. The Moon’s light is also charging your talisman so that after this ritual, whenever you wear it, your magical powers are amplified. Waning Moon Release Ritual: By Fire and Ash Banish At Last

The waning moon is the perfect time to release something negative or something that’s holding you back from achieving your full potential. It could be anything: a relationship, a bad habit, anxiety, or emotional baggage. Whatever is your kryptonite, if you’re ready to banish it from your life here’s our tried-and-true Waning Moon Release Ritual we call By Fire and Ash. By Fire & Ash Release Ritual First, I want to remind you it’s best to release, banish, bind, etc. on a Waning Moon. I know there’s a ton of information in Pinterest and circulating FaceBook that tells people to release on a Full Moon. BUT truly a Waning Moon is for diminishing things in our lives. The Full Moon is for manifesting. Keep that in mind. What You’ll Need: Piece of paper and pen Chili powder, cayenne powder, or red chili flakes: any of these 3 ingredients serve as a powerful banishing agent Firepit OR fireplace Small sachet or bag What to Do: Gather your materials. Start your fire (safely, of course). Clear your mind and focus solely on the thing or person you’re ready to release. Write it down on the piece of paper then fold the paper away from you 3, 7 or 9 times. Before throwing the paper in the fire, say “You no longer serve my greatest good, you hold me back from flying high. I banish your negativity from my life, By fire and ash I sever every tie.” Throw the paper into the fire and breathe deeply. Know that it has been released from your life. Feel the baggage lifted from you. Now take the chili powder/cayenne and throw it into the fire (be careful you don’t get this in anyone’s face OR touch your eyes after handling chili powder). This seals your intention and further banishes whatever you released. Blacklight Body Paint Self Protection Ritual for Bella Donna Members

With this unique ritual, we teach our Bella Donna members how to use a blacklight and body paint for spiritual protection. The ritual can be modified to fit your intention if it’s not for protection. It’s fun and enlightening! YOU Choose and Prepare: You have creative license with this ritual to do what you find inspiring and to use symbols or words that connect you with the divine. If you choose to include a partner, this can be a sensual, adventurous experience for both of you (but you can always do it solitary). In addition, be careful what kind of body paint you use, test some out on your skin before dowsing yourself in it! This way you know if you’ll have an allergy to it before the ritual and be able to adjust accordingly. No, this isn’t a ritual that uses natural tools, BUT it is fun and enlightening to see yourself all lit up in the black lights and with the goddess’ power! What You’ll Need: A blacklight Blacklight body paint A quiet, undisturbed location Music of your choice What To Do: Choose a night when you won’t be disturbed. If you want to include a magical friend or partner in this ritual, go for it. Cleanse your space via smudging or your preference of cleansing. Cleanse the tube(s) of body paint via smudging (or your choice of cleansing). Gather supplies. Turn down the lights and turn on the music of your choice. Turn on the blacklight. Close your eyes and see yourself glowing with the light of the goddess/the universe. See yourself shining among the stars, full of love, wholeness and fully protected in the dark matter around you. Now open your eyes. The blacklight body paint will serve as your anointing oil in this ritual. Take a bit and draw or paint a protective symbol of your choice on your forehead/third eye area. If you have a partner or friend with you, you may choose to paint one another. Next, if you feel comfortable, remove your clothes and paint another symbol (or the same symbol) on your chest, stomach, on each leg and on the tops of your feet. Again, if you have a partner or friend you’re comfortable with, draw or paint on one another. After the symbols are painted on your body, allow it to dry then touch each symbol with your finger and pray for protection. You can pray to your goddess/god/ancestors or whomever you prefer. Something like this, “With the rune Algiz, I call on the divine protection of Odin and Frigg. Protect my head, heart, stomach, legs, and feet. Protect my path from the darkness and be my light when I most need it.” Next, get lost in the music. Dance, meditate, look at yourself and your artwork in the mirror! BUDGET Self Love Shaker Jar Ritual for Members Only

Needing a boost of self confidence or self esteem? Feeling like you lost your power? Try making this self love shaker jar. It’s budget-friendly, powerful, and fun to make and shake! For OO website members only. Self Love Shaker Jar Tutorial This is a recipe and tutorial we recently posted a LIVE recording of in the Otherworldly Oracle FaceBook group. If you’re not a member of the group yet, join for free and connect with others like you PLUS get OO’s news before anyone else, free classes, and tutorials. What You’ll Need: A jar with lid (Dollar Tree has them for a dollar OR use a recycled glass jar from your refrigerator or pantry!) Rosemary leaves (from your grocery store spice aisle) Cinnamon (from the dollar or grocery store) Sugar (enough for 3/4 of the jar) 3 Feathers (pink but any color you associate with self love – craft or dollar store) Confetti or party hearts (dollar store) Seashell Parchment or brown paper bag paper and pen Incense or your preferred method of cleansing Make the Self Love Shaker Jar Gather your supplies. Cleanse your space and cast a circle or call in your guides/gods (prepare your area how you prefer) Cleanse each item for your self love jar (running through smoke is the simplest in my opinion!) Next, write your petition on your paper. I wrote, “I am love and divinity. The Goddess is within me. So mote it be.” (you can write it 3 times if you wish) Then fold the petition towards you until it’s rolled up completely and will fit in your jar. Place in the jar. Furthermore, add the next item and tell it what it’s job is. For example, I hold the rosemary leaves to my mouth and tell it, “rosemary, your job is to bring clarity so that I may see myself for the beauty I am.” Continue to do this until all items are in the jar. Seal it with the lid and hold it in your hands. Visualize a pink, soft divine light pouring into the crown of your head, moving down through your arms and into the self love jar. State your petition again, “I am love and divinity. The goddess is within me. So mote it be.” Begin to lightly shake your jar and repeat your petition. You can get a rhythm going and make it into a rap/chant/song if you’d like! This is the really fun part in my opinion. Smile and continue to shake and chant for as long as you’d like. Somehow this part always cheers me up and makes me feel awesome! Keep the self love shaker jar on your altar or somewhere you’ll see it daily. Shake it and chant daily.

Clean BREAK: A Releasing Break-up Ritual for Bella Donna Members

Sometimes it’s time for us to let go and move on. If you’re ready to break up with your significant other and need a clean, HEALTHY split, try our Clean Break Break-up Ritual. For Bella Donna Members Only. Clean Break: Healthy Break-up Ritual Break-ups can be messy. They can even be scary if your significant other isn’t aware of the coming news. But if you’re ready to have a new start and/or cut the toxicity out of your life, there’s a couple things we recommend doing. First, if you do this break-up ritual and expect your significant other to quietly go away for good…that’s just not going to happen. And if it does, it might come back to haunt you. So never replace having “the conversation” with your significant other with a ritual. Second, when you have the conversation, let your significant other down gently but sternly. Then cast this break-up spell to start the healing process for you and your significant other. A Warning: Abusive Relationships PLEASE READ PLEASE NOTE: if you are trying to get out of an abusive relationship, ignore what we said above and never put yourself in harm’s way! Get to safety. Your physical safety comes first! If you need to call the police or take refuge at a loved one’s home, do it! Don’t spend any more time with someone who doesn’t respect you as a person much less a lover. What You’ll Need: Black spell candle and holder or firesafe container Lighter/matches Small chain with links (from a necklace etc.) (if you have a necklace or piece of jewelry that was gifted to you from the significant other – this is even better!) Small cutting pliers Black sachet or small bag with drawstring Small shovel (don’t worry, we’re not burying bodies here, just ritual remnants!) Tools/supplies for cleansing (smudge bundle, holy water, or whatever method you prefer!) What To Do: This break-up ritual is best done on a Waning or New Moon but if you can’t wait for the moon phase, perform this ritual between midnight and 6 am on any day. Gather your supplies. Cleanse all supplies by whatever method you prefer (smudging, asperging, holy water, etc.) Say your prayers to your guides/gods/ancestors, asking them for their guidance, healing, and protection. Take your black candle and starting at the crown of your head rub it downwards over your entire body to the bottoms of your feet. Get every part of your body. This serves to pull any negative vibrations from your break-up off of you and put it on the candle. Breathe and pray while doing so. Can repeat this step multiple times until you physically feel lighter and the candle feels “heavier”. Once you feel it’s time, light your candle and say, “I release you _____ from the physical and spiritual bond we made. I wish you healing and peace, and I pray for the same. May this break-up be clean and healthy. So mote it be.” Put the candle in its holder. Next, take your small chain and hold it in your hands. The chain is a representation of the bond you made between you and your lover. Close your eyes and visualize the good and bad times. When you’re ready, take your pliers and cut the chain in the middle. Say, “with this tool I now sever, our bond in a clean, healthy manner.” Visualize you and your partner going about your own separate lives, feeling happy and at peace with your past relationship and moving on with your lives. Place the chain next to the candle. If the candle drips wax over the chain, that’s great too! Let the candle burn down completely. Gather the remaining wax, the separated chain links, and place them in the bag/sachet. Bury the bag facing the West of your house…this signifies that the sun has set on this relationship for good. (Alternatively, if it was an abusive relationship, you can send the bag downstream OR burn the remnants in a fire. Your choice but be safe!) Lastly, we recommend a cleansing bath ritual and a cord cutting ritual to fully cleanse yourself of negativity and to release any spiritual and emotional cords created via the relationship.

Peace & Prosperity Floor Sweep (for Bella Donna Members Only)

This is one of my own personal magical recipes for Bella Donna Members Only. Cleansings are SO important to rid our sacred spaces and homes of nasty negative energy and entities. I love smudging my home, but let’s be real – smudging doesn’t quite hit all of the nooks and crannies on the floor, now does it? To get a really deep purification of your home means to cleanse the floors too! And one way to do that is to concoct a magical floor wash OR floor sweep. In this article, I give you my personal floor sweep recipe for peace and prosperity. What You’ll Need: Salt: 4-5 cups depending on the size of your house (I use pink Himalayan salt for added peaceful vibes) Sunflower petals (dried): 1-2 cups Bee Pollen: one-ounce packet (the brand I use is Badia and is sold at many grocery stores in the spice aisle!) Sage (dried): 1/2 cup (can be culinary OR white sage) A broom and dustpan OR heavy duty vacuum (your choice) What To Do: Mix your salt, sunflower petals, bee pollen, and sage in a mortar and pestle OR a large bowl and mallet if you don’t have a mortar. If you plan to use a vacuum, grind/pound down the larger pieces of petals and sage. Start in the north facing rooms of the house and LIGHTLY sprinkle your floor sweep onto the carpets and tile/hard floors while saying OR singing: PURITY, PEACE, HAPPINESS, PROSPERITY.
