555 Angel Number Meaning in Life, Love and Friendship

kitty fields — Fri, 03 Jun 2022 19:45:46 +0000

We all have a spiritual team watching, protecting and guiding us from the other side. Often our spirit guides send us messages through signs and omens. Unfortunately, many of us miss these messages, so our spiritual team will use repetitive numbers to FINALLY get the message across. Here we take an in-depth look at angel numbers, specifically 555 angel number and its meaning for one’s life, in love, and for one’s soul purpose on this earth. First, What Are Angel Numbers Exactly? An angel number is a repetitive number that your guide or the universe uses to send you a message. These are typically the same number, two to four in a row, that show up nearly anywhere. Most people go through life on autopilot, not paying attention to all of the little signs our guides send us regularly. So, in order to get our attention, they will sometimes send us the same number over and over again until we notice. In the metaphysical community, angel numbers may be sent not only by spirit guides and the universe, but also by our guardian angels, ancestors, deceased loved ones, star beings, elementals and more. Some numbers even correlate specifically to messages about love and to our soul’s purpose on this planet. Where You’ll See 555 Angel Number Appear Our angels and guides send 555 angel number to us in various ways. You might first have noticed it on a receipt from the coffee shop. Plain as day – you’re change is 5.55. Or maybe every time you look at the clock it seems to be 5:55. In addition, the 555 angel number may make an appearance on your bus route, electric bill (hopefully $5.55 and not $555 LOL), license plates, or even in passing conversations. The key here is to be open-minded and open to receiving messages from the Universe. Once 555 appears repetitively, thank your guides for sending you the message. Other place you might see these numbers include: Receipts Calendar Addresses Calculator Street signs On tests at school Book page numbers On maps Next, How We Look at These Divine Numbers We know there are hundreds of articles online that cover the topic of angel numbers in depth. So what makes us different from the rest? We don’t just approach angel number interpretations from a new age viewpoint. And we never take information directly from another online source. What we do is this. We approach angel numbers from an eclectic magical perspective. We utilize our knowledge of metaphysics and spirit guides ALONG WITH our knowledge of witchcraft, the occult, and mysticism. Just because one new age source says an angel number means one thing, doesn’t mean it ONLY means that for you. That number might also have an alchemical link that isn’t often presented to the public. We seek to give you all of the potential angel number interpretations we can. So that you can make your own informed decision. 5 Reasons You’re Seeing 555 Angel Number in Love Everyone will interpret the 555 angel number in their own way. What we can say is this – if you’ve been longing for love OR having love troubles, and you’re seeing 555 everywhere, this might be a sign. The universe and your guides are trying to get a message through to you. Be open to receiving their wisdom when it comes to love in your life. In numerology, we often reduce large numbers down to a single digit. If we add 5+5+5, it equals 15. If we add 1+5 it equals 6. So 6 is our main number we will focus on in our interpretations. 1. Harmony and Stability at Home You grew up in a rough household as a child. Maybe your parents fought often or got a divorce. And you told yourself one thing you always wanted was a harmonious and stable home life in adulthood. You were recently married and longing to settle down. This 555 angel number repetition is telling you to trust your search is over. You will have and do have harmony and stability in your household. Enjoy it! 2. Complete Joy in Love Some people believe the number 6 represents the completion to a cycle. And utter perfection. This relates to the amount of days it took for God to create the planet (and on the 7th day, he rested). If you’re seeing the 555 angel number everywhere and you’ve recently found a love interest, this could be your sign he or she is the one. And your cycle of searching has ended. Ask your guides to confirm. 3. 555 Angel Number and Twin Flames If you’re seeing the 555 angel number and you’ve also lately been thinking about your twin flame, this is confirmation that he or she is thinking about you too. And yearning to be with you. Sadly, most of us may not spend our entire lives with our twin flames. The reason is this – twin flame love is INTENSE and often the flame burns so bright, it distracts us from our life’s purpose. But be comforted in the fact that you’ll see him/her again on the other side. And know that they are thinking of you, as you are of them. 4. You’ll Meet Someone Charming If you’re looking for love, the right person might be coming into your life very soon. If he or she has a life path number of 6, this could be why you’re seeing 555 angel number everywhere. People with the life path number 6 are typically charming but trustworthy. They may exhibit hedonistic qualities and be particularly drawn to the finer pleasures in life. But that doesn’t mean they’re a bad person. This might be exactly what you need in your life at this time. 5. Time to Love Unconditionally Sometimes we’re presented with situations in life that are difficult to bear. Maybe you’ve been overwhelmed with family matters or one particular family member lately. You’ve thought about running away from the […]

222 Angel Number Meaning: 10 Lessons in Love and Life

kitty fields — Fri, 25 Feb 2022 20:41:06 +0000

Are you seeing repetitive numbers lately? 222, to be exact? When single digits repeat in a sequence like this, it often means your angels and the universe are sending you a message. The message may be one of hope, but sometimes can be a warning or pertinent lesson. If you’d like to find out the 222 angel number meaning in love and life, we have your answers here. First, What is an Angel Number? An angel number is a repetitive number that your guide or the universe uses to send you a message. These are typically the same number, two to four in a row, that show up nearly anywhere in your daily life. Most people go through life on autopilot, not paying attention to all of the little signs our spirit guides send us throughout the day. So, in order to get our attention, they will sometimes send us the same number over and over again until we notice. In the metaphysical community, angel numbers may be sent not only by spirit guides and the universe but also by our guardian angels, ancestors, deceased loved ones, star beings, elementals and more. Some numbers even correlate specifically to messages about love and to our twin flames. Where You’ll See 222 Angel Number Make an Appearance Our angels and guides send 222 angel number to us in various ways. You might first have noticed it on a receipt from the coffee shop. Plain as day – you’re change is 2.22. Or maybe every time you look at the clock it seems to be 2:22 or 12:22. In addition, 222 angel number may make an appearance on your bus route, electric bill (hopefully $2.22 and not $222 LOL), license plates, or even in conversations. The key here is to be open-minded and open to receiving messages from the Universe. Once you see 222 show up, thank your guides for sending you the message. Next, How We Look at Angel Numbers Here at the Otherworldly Oracle, we know there are hundreds of articles online that cover the topic of angel numbers in depth. So what makes us different from the rest? We don’t just approach angel number interpretations from a new age viewpoint. And we never take information directly from another online source (we feel this is plagiarism in some ways and stay away from it). What we do is this. We approach angel numbers from an eclectic magical perspective. We utilize our knowledge of metaphysics and spirit guides ALONG WITH our knowledge of witchcraft, the occult, and mysticism. Just because one new age source says an angel number means one thing, doesn’t mean it ONLY means that. That number might also have an alchemical link that isn’t often presented to the public. We seek to give you all of the potential angel number interpretations we can. So that you can make your own informed decision. 5 Reasons You’re Seeing 222 Angel Number in Love Everyone will interpret a message from the universe in their own unique way. What I feel the number 222 means might be completely opposite of what it means to you. If you’re unsure, ask your guides and the universe to clarify via another sign. Perhaps in a dream, vision, or even by means of divination (a tarot reading, runes, Reiki session, etc.) 1. 222 Angel Number Means Balance in Love 222 = 2+2+2= 6. And 6 is the number of balance. Particularly when it comes to relationships of a romantic kind. So when you find someone who balances you, this angel number might appear…sent to you by your guides to confirm what you already know in your heart. NOW, if you’re already in a relationship and things have seemed unbalanced, seeing 222 angel number means you’re on the right path. That balance between you and your partner is near. With a little compromise and working together. 2. The TRUTH Comes Out When 222 Pops Up Be careful here. If you’re seeing the 222 angel number everywhere, and you have been less than truthful with your partner, your guides might be urging you to come clean. Because…here’s the thing. The number 6 is a number of truth. And when 222 pops up, the truth is bound to come out in one way or another. Be honest with yourself and with your partner. Conversely, if you’ve been feeling like you’re being lied to…it might be coming to a head soon. 3. A Time of Peace and Harmony Your relationships have been rather tumultuous lately. Maybe it’s because of world events that are stressing everyone out. Maybe it’s because we just can’t seem to cope with all the pressure of modern life. Either way, we are all in need of a little peace and harmony in our lives and in our relationships with one another. Seeing the angel number 222 could indicate this much-needed period of rest and comfort in one another is quickly approaching. And it couldn’t come soon enough! 4. 222 Angel Number & Twin Flames You’ll see 222 frequently connected to the twin flame concept. We agree with this interpretation from multiple standpoints. From a mystical outlook, the number 6 (2+2+2) is represented by a hexagon OR by the Star of David. The Star of David is two triangles combined to make a 6 pointed star. So there is a union of male and female ingrained in this powerful symbol. And when we apply this concept to reincarnation and relationships, we see the link between 222 angel number and twin flame relationships. 5. Love is Coming Into Your Life With 222 Angel Number If you’ve been looking for the right person, 222 angel number may mean you’ve found him or her. First, the number 2 obviously equates to 2 people in love or unified. Secondly, when we add 2+2+2 it equals 6, which is also a number of love. In addition, 222 angel number relates to home and hearth meaning your immediate family. And the love therein. Hug […]

Butterfly Meaning By Color & Type and the Butterfly Spirit Guide

kitty fields — Fri, 04 Feb 2022 20:44:22 +0000

There’s something otherworldly about butterflies, don’t you think? How do they capture our attention and imagination so easily? The butterfly has a long history of captivating humans, including as omens and signs. Our ancestors had some strong feelings towards these beautiful winged creatures – some good, some bad. If you’ve been seeing them everywhere lately, it’s time to learn the butterfly meaning. Here, we break the butterfly symbolism down by color and type, plus introduce you to this powerful animal spirit guide. First, Why Are Butterflies So Special? The butterfly is an insect that has the innate ability to metamorphose. As in, they start out as squishy, fat little caterpillars, spin themselves up in a chrysalis, and then emerge as something else entirely. I think this one thing alone is enough to make them God’s special creatures. But wait. There’s more. They’ve been around a long-@ss time – at least 56 million years, y’all. That we know of. So butterflies are prehistoric beings. Anything that’s been around that long has some mad adaption skills. And automatically garners my respect. Here’s something else. Butterflies are just plain pretty. And playful, whimsical little things. They’re the fairy of the insect world, no doubt about it. You’ll find butterflies on every continent except for Antarctica. There’s literally over 18,000 species, and most people know exactly what a monarch butterfly looks like. This one particular butterfly has crossed oceans and naturalized over multiple countries and regions. I could go on and on about the amazing things this insect does. History in Magic + Good and Bad Superstitions Not surprisingly, butterflies have a rich, long history in magical traditions. And they also boast quite a few old school superstitions. Let’s start with the name butterfly. The term originated from the idea that these beautiful insects stole butter from churns. In Medieval Times, everyone was terrified of witches. Hundreds of thousands of people were put to death after being accused of witchcraft. And where there was a witch, there was an animal that was her familiar. The butterfly was once thought to be one of the witch’s familiar spirits or the spirit of the witch herself in shapeshifted form. Stealing butter was one of the many evil deeds on the witch’s resume. Learn more about the butterfly as the witch’s familiar here. Fast forward a few centuries and European immigrants brought strong butterfly symbolism with them to the New World. If the first butterfly you see in the new year is white, this is a sign your year will be prosperous. If it’s black, this is supposedly a bad omen (in older times, that is). When a butterfly flies into your home, your loved one will come home soon. Butterfly Meaning = Transformation, Radical Change, Whimsy, Finding One’s Bliss, and Renewal First, let’s define the butterfly’s meaning in general. Because of the extraordinary process of metamorphosis, all butterflies symbolize transformation. Change is inevitable. And, while change can be a good thing, it can also be a slow and incredibly painful process. We don’t know what the caterpillar goes through when he metamorphoses into the butterfly. We understand the process, but we haven’t felt it from his perspective. But I have a good hunch that the transformations we undertake in life, the really painful (but beneficial) ones, are not too far off from the butterfly’s. In addition to transformation, the butterfly symbolizes whimsy and finding one’s bliss. Are you running around on an empty fuel-tank? Do you give and give and give and receive nothing in return? The butterfly brings a change in your life, telling you it’s time to find your bliss. It’s time to find that something that makes your soul sing. What does it mean to keep seeing butterflies? We have to remind ourselves that not every animal is a sign. However, if you notice butterflies surrounding you at random places. Or seemingly following you on a daily basis. This is a big sign and you should pay attention to it. The butterfly frequently approaches humans to remind them to see the beauty in little things in life. And to bring attention to the areas in our lives that need to change in order for us to grow as human beings. Does it mean something if a butterfly lands on me? If a butterfly lands on you, the meaning doesn’t change. But the potency increases. Meaning, the butterfly is really trying to get your attention! And transformation, or abrupt change, is getting ready to happen in your life. It also means that perhaps you’ve been ignoring the change. Now it’s time to embrace it! I’m seeing butterflies in my dreams. What does this symbolize? Our dreams reveal our subconscious desires, needs, fears and phobias. If you’re seeing butterflies in your dreams, first take note of what those butterflies are doing. And what the environment is like in your dream state. Then apply the aforementioned butterfly meanings to your dream – are you ignoring a new path that’s opened up in your life? Are you being weighed down by others’ decisions? If you see a caterpillar, this no doubt means you’re weighed down by the past and need to open yourself up to what the future holds. Butterfly Meaning By Color & Type The butterfly’s message is abundant change, growth, and beauty. But some people wonder, does the butterfly meaning change if the butterflies are different colors or types? There are a few differences in symbolism. If we apply color magic properties to butterflies, we see the meanings clearly. White Butterfly Meaning (Wood Whites, Cabbage Whites, Garden Whites, etc.) The color white means purity, peace, and connection to the Divine. Seeing a white butterfly means your ancestor or spirit guide is nearby. It also could mean a time of change, one that purifies your soul and your life, is coming. Yellow Butterfly Meaning (Yellow Sulphurs, Orange Emigrants, Sleepy Oranges, Etc.) The color yellow is linked to the solar plexus, the sun, self confidence, happiness, and […]

333 Angel Number Meaning in Love and Life: 10 Different Possibilities

kitty fields — Fri, 28 Jan 2022 20:24:21 +0000

Did you know the Universe is rooting for you? Did you know you have your own personal spiritual team on the other side, cheering you on, protecting and guiding you? Maybe you’ve been seeing signs everywhere lately. On the bus ride home. In the lyrics to your new favorite song. You seem to be seeing one particular number so frequently you can’t ignore it anymore. Here we explore the 333 angel number meaning in love and in life. And hopefully clarify on some of the questions you’re having. First, What Are Angel Numbers? No matter who you are and what path you take, the Universe speaks to you. It’s just that most of us forget to pay attention. We forget to listen. Angel numbers, put simply, are messages sent to us by the Universe. But more specifically, this is when you start seeing the same string of numbers over and over again. And I’m not talking just once or twice. I’m talking, you’re seeing 333 and 33 nearly everywhere in a short span of time. Or perhaps even over a longer period of time. In 2012, when I went through a spiritual awakening, I saw 1111 on a daily basis in different places: on receipts, on the clock, through emails, phone calls, bills, etc. Angel numbers are sent to us by the universe, but also by our guides, ancestors, and our higher selves, typically in a time when we are going through a transition or transformation. Read on to learn more. Where You Might See Angel Numbers Just seeing the number 3 once or twice doesn’t make this an angel number, necessarily. So how will you know when it is an angel number you’re seeing? You’ll see 33 or 333 frequently and in random places. And you might say to yourself, why am I seeing this number everywhere? You’ll recognize it. Trust me. You might see 333 angel number on the clock. In fact, this is typically the most common space for angel numbers to appear. I believe this is because our guides and the universe know that our time in this life is limited, and they use the clock to remind us of that. In addition, you’ll see 333 on signs, billboards, license plates, receipts, bills, statements, bus and taxi numbers, route numbers, phone numbers. You might even hear someone say 333 in a fleeting conversation. Or land on page 333 in the book you’re currently reading. The ways in which angel numbers appear are endless because the universe is limitless! Who is Sending Me Angel Number 333? So I guess it stands without saying that angel numbers like angel number 333 are sent by angels themselves. But when we say angel numbers, we are actually referring to a whole wide spectrum of spirits and spiritual energy that may be trying to get YOUR attention. When you were born, you were assigned a team of spirit guides. These could be any or all of the following: guardian angel(s), ancestors, animal guides, deities, saints, ascended masters, star beings, other spirit guides and your higher self. So, truly, any one or more of your spiritual team could be using the 333 angel number meaning to reach out to you. To teach you something important that you’re not seeing by yourself. 333 Angel Number Meanings in Love There are a couple different ways in which the 333 angel number meaning in love could affect you. It truly depends on the individual and your unique circumstances. As you read the meanings provided below, be open to any possibility. But don’t over-analyze or second-guess what your intuition is telling you. 1. 333 Angel Number Means Love is Coming If we look at the root number in this angel number, which is 3, we see that this number means a positive outlook for your love life. It means, if you’ve been waiting for love, it’s coming your way! The number 3 has always been considered a sacred number in nearly every religion and spiritual path. It represents wholeness, positive energy, and universal love. Keep your eyes and heart open for a new love to come into your life! 2. If You Already Have Love in Your Life If you already have a significant other, and things are going well for you, seeing 333 angel number means your spirit team is happy with this relationship. Continue to grow and expand your understanding of love with your special partner. BUT, what happens if you have love in your life but it’s not a good one? What if that love is toxic? Keep reading… 3. 333 Angel Number = 9 and Mars Energy Here’s the thing. Everyone looks at 333 angel number and they forget that 3+3+3 = 9. So we have to take into account the number 9 for a 333 angel number meaning in love and in life. The number 9 is a positive number, but it also links to the planet Mars. What if your love life is suffering, or you’re in a toxic, maybe even an abusive relationship? Your guides are sending you this number to tell you the energy in this union is not positive. And it needs to come to an end. If this person is having a harmful effect on your life, it’s time to let go and move on. If they are angry towards you OR you towards them, it’s time to release and allow space for divine love. 4. 333 Angel Number May Mean You’re Acting Impulsively Again with 3+3+3 equaling 9, we have Mars energy in certain relationships which could mean you’re actively impulsively. Maybe you’re considering cheating on your SO, or your SO is already cheating on you. Now is the time to take a step back, re-evaluate the pros and cons of this relationship, and think about what growth is coming out of this. If there’s no growth, and the two of you are growing apart, it’s time to let go. IN THE SAME BREATH, if […]

444 Angel Number in Love & Twin Flames: 10 Reasons You’re Seeing It

kitty fields — Thu, 13 Jan 2022 03:11:38 +0000

Lately the number 444 has been following you everywhere, it seems. Why are you seeing this number repeatedly? Does it have any spiritual significance? In our experience, numbers play a crucial role in spiritual enlightenment, as well as in connection between two souls. Here we’ll discuss the basics of angel numbers, and define what the 444 angel number means in love and with twin flames. Next, What is a Twin Flame? I find there’s a lot of misunderstanding as to the true meaning of a twin flame. Twin flames happen when two souls are conceived by the universe at the beginning of their cycle. Just as you can be born with a twin in this physical realm, you can be born with a soul twin in the spiritual realm. But here’s the deal – not everyone has a twin flame. If you don’t have a twin flame, it doesn’t mean you’re any less than someone who does. Everyone’s souls are WHOLE individually. We are in the Universe, and the Universe is within us…making us whole with or without a twin flame soul. Signs You Have a Twin Flame Twin flames are connected to one another via an unbreakable energetic cord. Even when one twin flame is living in the physical, and the other in the spiritual, that cord is still present. It cannot and will not be severed. This is a connection between souls unlike any other. Twin flame relationships can be nearly any kind but most often are romantic relationships or close friendships. If you have a twin flame, you might notice some of these signs: you feel like you’ve known this person forever (even when you first meet them) this person feels like the exact opposite of you, yet you share multiple things in common (sort of like a puzzle piece that you’ve been missing) you’ll want to spend every waking moment with this person develop an intense relationship, especially if romantic often twin flames are “first love” relationships that end dramatically even when you’re far away from each other or haven’t seen in each other in years, you’ll carry strong emotions for this person your twin flame randomly appears in your dreams (see dreamwalkers here) numbers 4, 44, 444 and 8 will come up frequently in relation to your twin flame to learn all about twin flame signs and symptoms click here 10 Reasons You’re Seeing 444 Angel Number Everywhere The meaning of 444 angel number in love and with twin flames will vary by person and situation. What it means to you might be completely different from what it means to me. Ultimately, you have to determine for yourself what message the universe (or your twin flame) is sending you. But here are a few messages to consider: 1. Your Twin Flame is Thinking About You I’ve noticed whenever angel number 44 or 444 is popping up, it comes along with other signs. This gets me thinking about my twin flame and in turn I realize my twin flame is thinking about me. Maybe you hear your “song” and look at the clock and it says 4:44. 2. Your Twin Flame is Sending You a Message In addition to your twin flame thinking about you, when angel number 444 repeats itself, it could mean your twin flame is sending you a specific message. Sadly, many of our twin flames don’t incarnate with us in every life. They are often on the other side, guiding us from the spiritual realm. Sometimes they like to send messages of comfort, hope, and love using angel numbers. If you feel you have a twin flame, but have never met them in this life, it might be that he or she is your actual spirit guide. 3. You’re getting ready to meet the love of your life In numerology, number 4 means stability, strength, confidence, and security. If you’ve been waiting to meet the love of your life and 4, 44, or 444 angel number shows up…you’re getting ready to! You’ve waited a long time to meet someone who will love you for who you are, and now they are just around the corner. Waiting to meet you! The meaning of 444 angel number in love is almost always an exciting and positive sign. 4. Angel Number 444 Reminds Us of Self Love Sometimes we forget the importance of self love. This is a 444 angel number message that comes up time and time again for all of us, especially those of us who have twin flames. But why? Because we tend to give our energy and love away to everyone else and neglect ourselves. We think because we have twin flames that they’ll love us unconditionally. But when do we learn to love ourselves unconditionally? It’s likely that your twin flame, if incarnated at the same time as you, will not be in your life until you have learned true and deep self love first. 5. 444 and 44 Angel Numbers in Love = Infinity We’ve discussed the meaning of the number 4 in numerology, but there’s more to the 444 angel number. You’ll notice 44 shows up in relation to your […]

111 Angel Number Meaning: 12 Reasons You’re Seeing It Everywhere

kitty fields — Sun, 09 Jan 2022 23:53:27 +0000

Numbers play a huge role in our lives. They are literally woven into everything we do. The universe functions on numbers, and because our souls are part of the universe, we do too. Often the universe speaks to us via signs. And sometimes these signs are numbers. Maybe you keep seeing 111 or 1111 everywhere lately. Here we talk about the 12 reasons and ultimately try to define the 111 angel number meaning. First, What Are Angel Numbers? Put simply, angel numbers are three or more numbers in a row that frequently make an appearance in your life. But these aren’t just random numbers. They hold meaning because of where they originate – from the spirit world. The universe and our spirit guides speak to us through signs, and sometimes numbers are the easiest way to get our attention. Perhaps your spirit guide tried to send a hawk to you, but you never look up at the sky. So they send you a sign on your phone, alarm clock, and wherever else they can reach you with angel numbers. Angel numbers typically have different meanings, depending on the number. But why are these numbers so powerful? The Power of Numbers and Numerology It blows my mind to try to think back to the first person who counted on his or her fingers. How did they realize that numbers even existed? Did they wish to quantify something but didn’t know how? Did the universe guide their thinking even then? Scholars believe the first form of math was counting on fingers, then came tally marks on stone or in sand, etc. Tally marks for counting purposes date back at least forty thousand years, then came ancient numeric systems via glyphs. Our mathematics system today is thousands of years in the making and far advanced. And we truly have the universe to attribute it to. Numbers aren’t just practical. They’re spiritual. And the reason we are examining angel numbers to begin with. Believe it or not, in Medieval Times, some mathematicians were accused of witchcraft! Astronomy and astrology both go hand-in-hand with numbers for a reason. Think about just how powerful the number 13 is – a large portion of the population believe 13 is unlucky. Some people are so afraid of it, they have triskaidekaphobia. Airplanes skip the number 13 in rows, and many buildings call floor 13 fourteen instead. Just as a number can cause strong fear, numbers can also evoke strong feelings of love and enlightenment. 111 Angel Number Meaning: 12 Reasons You’re Seeing It Everywhere Everyone’s experience with angel number 111 will vary. You might not attribute the same meaning to it as your friend. That’s because we are all different in mind, body and soul. We are all connected, but your experience of human life and spirituality is completely unique to you. That being said, here are some of the 111 angel number meanings we know of: 1. A New Opportunity Awaits Breaking the number 111 down to its most basic root, we have the number 1. Numerology defines number 1 as the basis for all experience and opportunity. One possible 111 angel number meaning is new opportunity. This could be a career change for you or a new path in your spiritual journey. If you’re seeing 111 or 1111 on your way to a job interview, this is a clear cut sign. Be open to receiving the message. 2. Your loved one is telling you they’re all right While the 111 angel number meaning can carry specific lessons, I’ve found it also carries a broader statement. Our loved ones on the other side also use number signs to speak to us. And sometimes seeing the angel number 111 and 1111 means simply that your loved one is saying hello. And that they are okay. I’ve had numerous ancestors and loved ones use this form of communication from the other side. And it always brings a smile to my face. 3. An ancestor is near Conversely, this number appearing also means your ancestor or loved one might be near. Have you ever found yourself saved from a dangerous situation and immediately see 111 or 1111? Your ancestor was there looking out for you. This angel number indicates their presence. For example, once I had a brush with death on a highway. A man pulled behind me and nearly caused me to wreck going speeds over 65mph. Eerily, after I swerved and just missed him, my daughter and I saw a black cloud follow the man’s car down the highway. We breathed a huge sigh of relief and felt something wash over us. Looking at the clock on the dashboard, it said 11:11. I knew immediately it was my loved one who intervened and saved us from catastrophe that day. 4. 111 Angel Number Means MANIFESTATION We all have desires in life. When these desires never come to fruition, they’re called wishes. When they actually happen in real life, it’s called manifestation. Have you ever needed something so bad that you wished for it, imagined it, almost tasted it? Then it happens in real life and you wonder how on earth you made that happen? The angel number 111 will appear in situations like this, if you’re paying attention. It means your higher self and guides manifested exactly what you needed at that time in your life. 5. Your guardian angel is watching over you Similar to feeling your ancestor’s presence when this number makes an appearance, your guardian angel will also use 111 to make itself known. And in this instance, we see why they are called “angel numbers”. When you were born, you were assigned your own personal guardian angel. That guardian angel stays with you and watches over you your entire life. They may protect you from dangerous situations, aid in healing during times of sickness, and comfort you in the worst of times. And if you need a boost of faith, send you angel number […]

What Do Bats Symbolize? Lore, Magick, and the Bat Spirit Guide

kitty fields — Thu, 11 Nov 2021 18:28:51 +0000

An ever-present creature that often gets overlooked or forgotten. Yet so prevalent in our lives through literature, movies, TV series and truly ingrained in our psyche. The bat. I’m talking about that fuzzy denizen of the night. That hangs upside down to sleep during the day. You know the one that vampires supposedly shapeshift into? What happens if you start seeing bats everywhere? In this article, we take a journey into the proverbial cave, into the night, to answer the question what do bats symbolize? Plus talk about the bat spirit guide and the magick it brings into one’s life. First, Let’s Meet Our Friend the Bat. I always thought of bats as the creepier, nocturnal cousin of the bird. However, the bat isn’t a bird at all. Bats are actually mammals, which means the bat is closer in species to human beings than a bird is! They are vertebrates and feed their young via mother’s milk. They are nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the day and are active at night. The bat roosts upside down in a tree, cave, barn, or anywhere they feel comfortable to perch. What’s amazing to me is that the female bat can bend upward and outward before taking off to fly from an upside down position. Bat yoga, anyone? Bats are found literally all over the world. There’s tiny bats and extremely large bats. Bats can fly up to sixty miles per hour and use echolocation to communicate and find their food in the dark. They live a long life for a flying mammal – up to thirty years. Bats are also important to the production of certain fruits like avocadoes and bananas. Why? They help pollinate many plants and spread the seeds so that more can grow. I bet you never thought bats were pollinators! But I could sit here and give you fact upon fact about bats and it still wouldn’t change the way some people feel about them. Depending on the culture and country, bats are either revered or extremely feared. And if you ask me, sometimes they’re downright adorable. Have you ever heard of the flying fox bat? Large but cute AF. Let’s dive in and figure out exactly what do bats symbolize? What Do Bats Symbolize? On the Eastern side of the world, bats are considered good luck to many cultures. They ward off disease naturally by being a major predator of the mosquito (an insect that carries disease). To that note – the bat can eat up to twelve-hundred mosquitos per hour! This is why you’ll see folks putting bat houses in their backyards. So number one, bats are GOOD LUCK despite what Western society may have you believe. Bats Represent Our Shadows Coming to Light But here’s the thing with bats. The message from these guys takes us deep. Deep into the caves of the human psyche, if you will. The bat’s message goes beyond simply “good luck”. It takes us within ourselves, brings to light our shadows. The bat aids in exploration of the hidden self, and also a potential spiritual side you’ve been hiding. They are most definitely a symbol of the occult, frequently associated with vampires, demons and dark entities (which we will explore further later). Bats Symbolize Transition and Initiation Transition is a big part of the bat spirit guide’s message. Bats are a symbol of death to the old, a bringer of the new. From the dark to the light. When we let go of the old self, when we explore and shine a light on our shadows, we are harnessing the essence of this nocturnal animal. Bats are liminal creatures, which means they exist somewhere between here and there. Straddling the line between the spiritual and physical. They’re earthly creatures (being mammals) yet are the only mammals with the ability to fly. They move between the earth and the air with ease. If you’re seeing bats frequently, it might be a time of transition and initiation for you. Only you can determine what that means to you personally. What Do Bats Symbolize? They Represent Using Primal Instincts Don’t forget that bats use their keen senses to move around in the dark, to navigate, communicate and locate prey. So when wondering what do bats symbolize, we can add that they represent tuning into and using one’s primal instincts. Maybe you’re going through a period of sorrow or darkness or you’re in need of protection. A way to the light. The bat is telling you to use your instincts to navigate the darkness. To find your way home. Bat Folklore and Superstitions Bats roost in caves, trees, and other places close to the heart of Mother Earth. For this reason, and because they’re indeed special creatures, I believe they were sacred to ancient priestesses, seers and healers. But when Christianity rose to power, bats were demonized along with many other once-holy creatures. Artists began painting pictures of bats with Satan, demons, and witches. In Medieval Europe, people thought bats were demons or witches in shapeshifted form. According to Judika Illes, “in 1322, Lady Jacaume of Bayonne, France was publicly burned at the stake as a witch. The evidence? Swarms of bats had been observed flying about her house and garden.” Interestingly, bats were also thought to be miniature dragons at one point. They lived in caves and their wings were similarly shaped (though they didn’t breathe fire). I find this particularly intriguing, because I see dragons as being representative of all elements. And, we see in China, bats are representative of their elements and the five blessings: longevity, prosperity, health, righteousness, and a natural death. The major bat superstitions known in the Western world are that bats drink blood and they become entangled in women’s long hair. We have to dispel these myths: even vampire bats don’t go after humans they feed on sleeping animals AND NO bats don’t get tangled in your hair. This was an old wives’ tale told to girls […]

Marie Laveau: 10 Ways to Work With the Voodoo Queen

kitty fields — Sun, 13 Sep 2020 03:58:14 +0000

She’s known as the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Widow Paris. A founder of a powerful New Orleans’ style magical tradition. Marie Laveau is arguably one of the most popular magical figures in American history. If you’re a practitioner of the magical arts, Voodoo, and/or witchcraft, maybe you’re drawn to working with her spirit. Here we teach a little about Marie’s life and legacy and discuss 10 ways to work with the Voodoo Queen in your practice. Who Is Marie Laveau? Marie Laveau was a well-known Voodoo Priestess and pillar of the community in New Orleans in the 1800’s. Marie was of mixed descent: white, Native American and African. She grew up in the city of New Orleans and was brought up in the Voodoo tradition by a local Voodoo priest. She was considered a “free woman of color” in a time when they were few and far between. Marie came to be a well-known woman in New Orleans for a few reasons. One – she was a Voodoo Priestess who threw large rituals and parties for her fellow Voodoo-isants. Two – she was a hairdresser to the rich. And three – she worked to help the poor in the city. Folks would come to her and ask her for spells and help with their issues: love, business, legal matters, etc. She held large rituals in Congo Square, which were disguised as “parties” to the police yet they couldn’t ever break up the parties. Marie was said to have power over anyone who came to suppress her. Today, some people believe Marie Laveau is one of the Lwa (Loa) in Voodoo tradition. She is honored on many altars and shrines through New Orleans. You can work with her in your practice with study and reverence. Her spirit lives on and seems to become more and more famous by year. To read a more detailed biography click here. 10 Ways to Work With Marie Laveau Your relationship with spirit will be different from the next person’s. The connection you make with Marie Laveau will be unique to you and your path. However, here are some ways to begin working with her energy (if you’re not sure where to start): 1. Study New Orleans Voodoo Marie Laveau practiced a magical tradition we now call New Orleans Voodoo. Not to be confused with Haitian Vodou or Vodoun. While they share similarities, they are different in many ways. New Orleans Voodoo is a mix of Hoodoo, Native American, and European folk magic. It also employs the aid of Catholic Saints, whom many believe are the Loa or African deities in disguise. If you want to connect with the Voodoo Queen, begin by studying New Orleans Voodoo. 2. Read about the Voodoo Queen The best way to get to know a legendary spirit is to read about them first. Study their origins, history, myths and lore. There’s plenty of stories about Marie Laveau, many that contradict one another. This is the most intriguing thing about her! 3. Altar Space for Marie Laveau Dedicate sacred space to Marie Laveau by setting up an altar with some or all of the following: a photo or statue of her, candles, incense, bowls and cups for offerings, snake figurines, oils, New Orleans souvenirs, etc. Her favorite colors are blue, white and pink. 4. Snakes and Dogs Snakes and dogs are sacred to Marie Laveau. Care for these animals in her honor. Whether you have a pet at home or can volunteer time to aid dog shelters. As for snakes, they can be pets but consider this – don’t kill snakes you find on your property. Or donate to wildlife rescues and charities. You can also decorate Marie Laveau’s altar with snakes and dogs. The Voodoo Queen was said to have a large snake called Zombi. 5. Visit Marie Laveau’s Home Marie Laveau once lived in an old adobe cottage addressed as 152 Rue St. Ann. Today, the address to is 1020-1022 St. Ann Street in New Orleans. Next time you’re in New Orleans, pay the Voodoo Queen’s old property a visit. Some say you can feel her energy strong here. 6. Lakes and Rivers Honor Marie Laveau’s spirit by visiting your local body of water. Marie was known for throwing large Saint John’s Eve parties (actually rituals) on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain. When she died, legend has it she “returned to the river”. If you can bathe in the river or lake nearby, do so! If not, visiting and calling on Marie while there is a great way to connect. 7. Her Grave Marie Laveau’s grave is located in St. Louis Cemetery Number One in New Orleans, LA. Or, at least, what we believe is her grave. It’s an above-ground mausoleum covered in triple XXX. These are written on her grave by followers and people asking for her to grant their wishes. As of 2020, it may be difficult to visit her grave unless you’re with a tour guide. If you can visit her grave in the future, do so! 8. Offerings for the Widow Glapion Traditionally, 7 dimes, 7 pieces of silver, cigars, white rum and candy are traditional offerings for Marie Laveau. In addition, flowers, candles, incense, water, hair accessories, snake figurines, traditional creole food, and fruit is appropriate. 9. Volunteer The Voodoo Queen helped the poor and fought for human rights. Spend some time, especially during the holidays, volunteering at a soup kitchen or doing something to help the poor. If you can’t volunteer, donate gifts. Donate food, money, anything. In addition, fighting and standing up for human rights honors her. 10. Music and Movies A really fun way of connecting with Marie Laveau is simply watching movies and shows featuring the Voodoo Queen character. She’s also been the subject of songs and books over the years. A few examples: watch American Horror Story – Season 3 Coven and Gothic Harvest. Listen to The Witch Queen of New Orleans song by Redbone. More on African […]

Ancestral Animal Guardian Spirits: Guides Passed Down the Family Tree

kitty fields — Wed, 10 Jun 2020 11:51:15 +0000

Have you ever wondered if your family has a totem or animal guardian spirit? No matter your culture or heritage, every family bloodline has an animal or plant guardian spirit that watches over its descendants. Learn more about ancestral animal guardian spirits here. What is an Ancestral Animal Guardian Spirit? I wouldn’t say I made up the term, but I often use the term Ancestral Animal Guardian Spirit. With Native Americans, some tribes claim a totem. Since I am not Native American, I try not to use the term totem; however, I know that every culture has or had their own version of the totem. Even if it was called something else. Unfortunately, for many cultures, this concept was lost over time as other people conquered our countries and other religions washed out the old pagan ways. Everyone Has An Ancestral Plant or Animal Guardian Everyone has an ancestral plant or animal guardian spirit that’s been passed down to you through your family lines. In fact, we usually have more than one, because we are made up of thousands of people. These are animal or plant spirits attached to your ancient ancestors that serve the bloodline. They protect the bloodline’s descendants, first and foremost. They may also come to teach you a lesson, and even aid magical practitioners in workings of the home and hearth. Your Name May Tell You… Sometimes these guardian spirits will be obvious to you, if your last name reflects an animal or plant name. For example, my maiden name is Wolf, so I know the wolf animal spirit is an ancestral guardian of mine. Sometimes they’re not so obvious, and may take some searching, meditations, or a clairvoyant to figure it out. Does Everyone Have A Guardian? Why does everyone have an animal or plant guardian spirit? At one point in time, all of our ancestors were pagan or followed the old ways. Our ancestors were deeply connected to the earth and therefore in harmony with its plant and animal inhabitants. So much so that our ancestors made pacts to honor the earth and in return the earth provided guardian spirits to them. Sadly, the majority of the world doesn’t care for Mother Earth any longer. But for pagans and those who honor the earth, we may find it easier to connect to our ancestral animal and plant guardian spirits. European-American Ancestral Animal and Plant Guardians I’ve looked at dozens of European-Americans’ ancestral lines, and here are a few common animal and plant guardian spirits that come up: Stag Horse Eagle Ram Gorse/Broom Oak Wolf How Do You Find Your Ancestral Plant or Animal Guardian Spirit? There’s a few ways to find or identify your ancestral plant or animal guardian spirit. First, think of when you were a child. Did you have an animal that seemed to come into your dreams often, even if they were scary dreams? Did this same animal have a special place in the hearts of your mom, dad, grandparents or caregivers? For example, maybe your mom always had horses and you often dreamed of them. Typically our ancestral animal guardians are animals that have popped up in our lives in the physical and spiritual since we were small children. Look At Your Family Names Other ways to determine your ancestral plant or animal guardians is by looking at your family tree. Are there any names that mimic animal names? Look into the translation of your family last names and see if any relate to animals or trees, etc. Next look at your family’s Coat of Arms to see if any animals or plants are there. For example, a common animal on English and Scottish Coats of Arms is the stag. The stag may be an ancestral guardian of yours. In addition, don’t discount plants or trees as guardians. Trees and plants also have spirits that will lend their protection and wisdom to a family line. Our Service: YOUR Magical Ancestors’ Origins Profile Lastly, if you still can’t figure it out, we offer a service where we look at your Ancestors’ Magical Origins for you. In addition to looking for ancestral animal and plant guardian spirits we also look at your ancient pagan origins, and search for your potential witch or other magical ancestors. You can find that service here in the shop.

Sloth Spirit Animal: Sloth’s Symbolism, Folklore and Messages

kitty fields — Thu, 20 Feb 2020 14:59:27 +0000

Connecting with an animal spirit guide like the sloth is an enlightening process. Understanding your spirit guide uncovers hidden inner wisdom. You don’t have to seek out your animal spirit guide. It will find you. Even the sloth has ways of getting your attention. Through the media, in the wild (at the Zoo), or through symbols and passing conversations. The sloth spirit animal has a message for you. Are you ready to listen? Sloth Spirit Animal: Biology Basics and Indigenous Folklore Live sloths live in the tropical jungles of Central and South America. There are two kinds of sloths: two-toed and three-toed. Strangely, these two are far apart from each other on the evolutionary scale. The sloth’s name is one of the seven deadly sins – sloth aka laziness, because of how slow the sloth moves. Despite its derogatory name, sloths are loved and have a rich history in their native lands. The Legendary Giant Sloth Indigenous people have hunted sloths for hundreds of years. Today, these creatures are endangered and hunting is restricted. It’s difficult to find folktales of sloths; however, there’s mention of ancient giant sloths among the indigenous South American people. The people say the mapinguary is a giant sloth that lives in the Brazilian rainforest. It’s larger than a human and stinks severely. These legends coincide with the now-extinct giant ground sloths. Some villagers claim to have seen the mapinguary near caves in the rain forest. The Sloth’s Instincts The sloth is a featured character in South American children’s stories. One tells of a sly sloth who outwits five forest animals, escaping untimely death. Don’t be fooled, the sloth uses its natural instinct to escape predatory situations. Therefore, despite its endearing, sweet nature, it is smart and capable. The sloth has become popular in modern culture and is featured in stories, artwork, even on pajamas! Sloth Spirit Animal’s Messages So you’ve determined your spirit animal is the sloth. You’ve seen sloths in movies, in a book, and you’ve heard people talking sloths in a passing conversation. Maybe you’ve even seen a sloth up close in a zoo or wildlife preserve. Whatever its method of contacting you, the sloth spirit animal has special lessons to teach you. So, what are those lessons? 1. Cooperation The sloth spirit animal’s first lesson is cooperation. Its fur is home to thousands of organisms that don’t normally reside on animal hides—algae, moths, beetles, roaches, and more. They are engaged in a symbiotic relationship – they live together cooperatively. These organisms DON’T feed on the sloth like parasites. The sloth spirit animal teaches the lesson of cooperation and team-work. Perhaps you’ve been a loner or separated yourself from your family or group. Now is the time to cooperate and band together with others for success. 2. Sloth Spirit Animal Teaches Us Energy Conservation Energy conservation is the second lesson. The sloth moves at slow speeds. And it’s not because they’re lazy, as their name implies, but because this is the way they conserve their energy. Don’t be fooled. Sloths move at incredibly fast speeds if threatened by a predator. Use your energy wisely. Prioritize your daily duties. Take time out of your day to care for yourself and nurture your body and mind. If you don’t take time to rest, this can result in health problems. 3. And Strength Sloth spirit animal’s last lesson is strength. The sloth hangs upside down for days at a time WHILE holding their young. Thus the sloth brings us messages of strength and endurance. Strength comes in many forms—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You’re in a tough situation, but the sloth spirit animal will show you how to hang upside down (deal with the situation with humor) and power through it!
